Biography

Floyd “Bill” Raftis, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. There will be no services. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; daughter, Cathy Raftis of Cypress, California; sister, Janet Oliver of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Bill was born September 8, 1935, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Fern (Parsons) Raftis. He married Patricia Beebe on October 7, 1997, at Hannon Lake. Bill was a sheet metal worker and machinist for Cherry Burrell.
